Be Inspired
Artistry; Connectivity; Sustainability: The three core values that we keep in mind when we design and that we always refer back to, to motivate us to create. We intertwine Art and Artisan Skills with the sustainable practice of reusing vintage furniture to forge a connection with the object, it's past and the artist creating a functional piece of art which will resonate with it's user and stand the test of time.
If ever there existed a person (or three) that fully embodies our core values (Artistry, Connectivity and Sustainability), then I would say that these three designers are it.
Honestly, they are my holy grail of upholstery design. All three designers have one thing in common, they combine the love of vintage, often artisan fabrics, with their ethos of recycling and reusing to create a truly wonderful, functional, unique piece of art. Bokja, Birbor and Folk Project are the designers to get to know.
As it happens, Blogger Julieta Tello has written a lovely piece about them on her website, Design Junkie.
