UPHOLSTERY CLUB FAQ
+ So what is this Upholstery Club?
I'm glad you asked. We've been offering Upholstery Courses for some time now, and the uptake has been fantastic & humbling. Quite a few of our ex-students have asked if they can use a space at the warehouse to continue on with additional upholstery projects. This is aligned with our value of connectivity and our mission to save the world one chair at a time. This is where the Upholstery Club was born. The Upholstery Club is a friendly, helpful environment where our students can continue their upholstery journey, with access to tools, supplies & know-how.
We have also introduced Cushion Sewing Courses and have opened up our Club to welcome sewing students to our creative community.
We offer pay-per-use spaces as well as Value Packages.
+ Who can join the Upholstery Club?
To join the Upholstery Club and to book a workbench, you would have had to have completed one of our Upholstery or Sewing Courses. As the Upholstery Club does not provide a guided process to your upholstery, then there is certain level of knowledge and use of tools that is a prerequisite to booking a workbench.
+ What are the pay-per-use costs?

Currently we have a maximum of eight workbenches on any particular day. We are currently looking at ways to increase availability of our workbenches to keep up with demand. Our workbenches are on a first-come first-served basis (via our booking system).
+ How is this different to an upholstery course?
Our Upholstery Courses are dedicated to working through a guided process of upholstering a chair from beginning to end. Likewise, our Sewing Courses teach the skills required to create a scatter or box cushion, depending on the course. All courses include learning how to use the tools safely, as well as the steps to create the finished product. The Upholstery Club requires a level of base knowledge. It allows you to continue honing your skills on your own project in a working upholstery workshop. A resident expert is on hand to answer questions, however will also be working on their own client projects.
