Disconnect to Connect
I’m a mother of 4 boys, soulmate to 1, late last week I turned 46 and on that same day I launched a new website to a business that has seen big changes. I am about to head into the busiest period in what has been the busiest year in the business to date.
All this can easily mess up my headspace but time and experience has taught me to stop, breathe and take stock of what I have. And be thankful!
On what could arguably be called Melbourne’s busiest weekend (AFL Grand Final), we removed ourselves and spent four glorious days sans internet and phone connection with family and friends in the Dandenongs.
I chose to disconnect from the noise around us. We walked, we played board games, we ate good food and drank good wine.
My soul has been fed and I feel revived.
So whilst it’s important to be #savingtheworldonechairatatime, it’s also important to #saveyourself too.
