These are a beautiful collection of classic Louis XV-style fauteuil style armchairs. They are not quite from the 17th century when the style first became popular, but I guess that’s the classic bit. Seriously the French knew what they were doing in creating a style that is reproduced for over three centuries. The wood is fabulous on these three, but could do with rebuilding and perhaps a splash of modern fabric, English of course! I’ve been dying to order to some Timorous Beasties since I visited their showroom last year!
